Disclose funding
Transparency includes responsibilities, source of funds and decision-making processes. Project funds, grants, audit fees, training fees and review fees are considered separately. Relevant financial relationships are part of the disclosure of the respective work.
Checking conflicts of interest
Relationships, participations, joint management, previous advice, employment relationships and economic dependencies are taken into account on a case-by-case basis. Institutional relationships are also relevant. Those affected do not decide on their own conflict case.
Independent results
Assessment fees pay for the work, not a favourable decision. Scientific contributions may be published even when their findings conflict with financial interests. Reports are neither used as sales opportunities nor removed or withheld in exchange for payment.
Responsible publication
Information about the Institute, its procedures and its publications shall be documented in a comprehensible manner. Confidential message contents are also not disclosed in the transparency area.
